About

Digital systems that earn their keep in a small organisation.

To help small charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises and grassroots organisations with limited access to affordable digital technology replace inefficient paper, spreadsheet and legacy processes with practical digital systems they can actually use.

Why MLR Transformations CIC exists

MLR Transformations CIC exists because too many organisations are stuck between two unhelpful options: keep running on paper, inboxes and spreadsheets, or buy software that is expensive, generic and hard to maintain.

We were set up as a community interest company so digital transformation can be practical, proportionate and reinvested in the organisations that need it most. The work is not about selling apps for their own sake. It is about looking at how a team actually works, then building the website, system or workflow that removes friction.

Mission

To help small charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises and grassroots organisations with limited access to affordable digital technology replace inefficient paper, spreadsheet and legacy processes with practical digital systems they can actually use.

Vision

A community and small-business sector where useful technology is affordable, understandable and built around the way people already work.

CIC structure and community purpose

We are set up as a community interest company so the work stays tied to public benefit. MLR Transformations CIC is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales (company number 17530293), incorporated on 20 October 2026. Our community-interest statement sets out how surplus will further our community purpose, including subsidised digital assessments, software development, training, technical support and reusable tools for eligible community-focused organisations.

Community benefit and commercial work

Our community purpose focuses on small charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, social enterprises and grassroots organisations that have limited access to affordable digital technology and expertise. We help staff and volunteers reduce administration and improve access to services.

We also offer paid website, software, automation and consultancy services to businesses. This work can generate income to support our community purpose.

How we approach digital transformation

We start with a digital audit, not a sales pitch. We look at the website, the spreadsheets, the paperwork, the tools that do not talk to each other, and the jobs that eat staff time. Then we recommend the smallest useful change: a better website, a simple CMS, an automated form, or a bespoke system. We design it, build it, migrate the data, train the people who will use it, and stay around to support it.

Values

Practical

We recommend what will actually get used, not a stack of tools that look impressive in a proposal.

Accessible

Websites and systems should work for the people who need them, including staff, volunteers and the public.

Affordable

Charities, CICs and small businesses should not have to choose between a usable system and paying the rent.

Transparent

You will know what we are building, why, what it costs, and what happens after launch.

Sustainable

We prefer systems a small team can maintain, with documentation, training and realistic support.

Community-focused

As a CIC, surplus is there to widen access: subsidised work, free audits and reusable tools.

Who you will work with

Mohammed Luqman Riaz

Founder

Luqman set up MLR Transformations CIC to make practical digital systems available to organisations that are usually offered either a brochure website or a product they cannot afford. The work covers websites, bespoke software, CMS systems, automation and the training that makes them stick.

Next step

If this sounds like the way you want to work, start with an audit.
